Cat's Eye Nebula also know as NGC 6543

This sculpture is a 3D form of a fantastic 2D image from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. It's something I have wanted to do for quite a while now and with a lot of time and effort have transformed a photograph into a 3D sculpture. The detail in the sculpture is incredible, the ripples of the concentric gas shells are brought to life through the layers of plywood.

The size of this piece is 175mm x 175mm x 30mm.

Currently available in one size I have plans to make this available in several more sizes up to 500mm square, this size will be more suited to wall hanging, please feel free to contact me for more information.
